The All You Tag!

Happy Wednesday! How is your week going? Mine’s going pretty good 😀 Homework can be kind of stressful at times, but that’s just a sign that I need to prioritize my life and start improving my time management skills 😛 🙂

Anyway, on Monday I was nominated for The All You Tag by Gracie over at Through the Eyes of Gracie – Thank you so much Gracie! Check out her amazing blog if you haven’t already 🙂

The All You Tag was created by Ariana 😀 Great tag, Ariana! I’m really enjoying it! Also go to Ariana’s Flying Life – it’s a great blog!

Now – onto the tag!

all you tag

~ Rules ~

  • Thank the person who tagged you
  • Include the image
  • Answer the questions – They’re always the same ones!
  • Nominate 5 -10 People

~ Questions ~

  1. Do you like school? I do! Sometimes, school can get kind of frustrating, but I think that doing school when you don’t feel like it is very important. It builds character hahaha but also, if you wait until you feel like doing school, well, you’ll never get around to it. Here’s a tip: The more you stay optimistic and smile during school, the more you enjoy it! It’s all about the attitude 😀 Stay positive!
  2. What is your favorite subject? Hmm…that’s a toughie, but I’m going to say…Reading or Writing. Does that fall under English? I think so…Reading transports you to a different world created by someone else, and writing transports you to a world that you created.
  3. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Definitely that everyone knew Jesus. Like Gracie said 😀 I loved her answer!
  4. What are some of your favorite memories? I definitely don’t have a set favorite memory, but the memories that mean the most to me are when my family is together, all happy – and laughing! I love it when people laugh together 🙂 – but now that my sister is at college and everyone’s getting busier, it’s hard to get those times, but when they’re there – you really cherish them!
  5. Name one or two embarrassing moments ~ Yikes. I usually try to forget these. Hmm…I don’t really remember them, but the thing that makes me most embarrassed and makes my cheeks get the reddest is when I’m embarrassed – even slightly – in front of a lot of people. I know that means I care a bit too much about what people think, but that’s what makes me embarrassed most! Oh – or when my parents tell my friends embarrassing things I did when I was younger – or things I did the day before! 😳 Even worse!

~ I Tag… ~

That’s it for today! Thanks again to Gracie! And thank you for reading this post 😀

Till next time ~

AMTF – New York Pt. 2!

Hey guys! I’m finally coming out with my AMTF – New York Pt. 2! It’s been, what, almost a month since I was there, but still 😀

Related Posts: AMTF – New York Pt. 1 and AMTF – Introduction and Great Falls

(Please note – I wrote this next part when I was actually in NYC 😛 )

Bello! It’s currently 9:02am as I write this sentence in the bathroom of our hotel, trying to be as quiet as possible to respect the sleeping persons.

Yesterday was a busybusy day and I didn’t get to write last night. Anyway, let’s just get on with the post!

Chapter 5 – Times Square

IMG_0888

Here it is!! Busy, busy Times Square!

IMG_0890

Here she is, folks! The Statue of Liberty!! 😛 Just kidding, it’s just a person dressed up as her 🙂 There were a lot of people parading around in costumes (the Hulk, Minnie + Mickey Mouse, Elmo, etc.)

IMG_0895

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people!

IMG_0909

Guess what this is!

You: What?

Me: Times Square made out of cookies! It’s completely edible!

You: Woooow!

Chapter 6 – Charmin, Charmin, Charmin!

Okay. This was officially the weirdest experience of my life. Ready?

IMG_0911

*fanfare plays* It’s a Charmin Store!!!! At least…that’s what it looks like from the outside…

I was expecting a store completely devoted to toilet paper. They would have just aisles and aisles of different types of toilet paper. That was strange enough.

It was actually just a ton of bathrooms!! WHAAAAT! I’m serious! They had the fancy waiting aisles with actual employees in Charmin uniforms telling you which extravagent bathroom to go to. I was so confused…the woman told me to enjoy my bathroom experience…

Some of the restrooms had gold toilets and red drapes and things like that – wooooow.

And they had a choice between extra strong and extra soft toilet paper…

Enough talk about this…

IMG_0917

Before I move on, I need to capture this magical Charmin bear. It’s Santa Charmin with his loads of presents for the children on Christmas Day…I think…they didn’t have a sign…

Chapter 7 – Columbus Circle Holiday Market!

IMG_0948

Welcome to the Columbus Circle Holiday Market! An outdoor market where they sell all sorts of knickknacks and thumbtacks!

IMG_0918

It was really busy in there! There were New Yorkers, travelers, and foreigners. I heard a mix of different languages and accents there; it was pretty cool 😀

IMG_0922

IMG_0925

This is just one of the many, many jewelry sellers. This was Tibetan jewelry. There was jewelry from Laos, regular jewelry, and so much more! It was all really pretty!

IMG_0927

These are framed photographs of a photographer. I couldn’t capture the whole stand because there were people in the way, but by just looking at half the photos is nice.

IMG_0935

I was really interested in this one! I’d never seen anything like it! Recycled restaurant chopsticks that were cleaned and dyed different colors to make collaspable baskets! It was a genius idea!

IMG_0938

Here are some clothes that were in the market. They were beautiful and very original, unlike anything you would ever see at the mall.

Chapter 8 – Indoor Market (Mostly Chocolate)

IMG_0951

Here’s a picture of the indoor market from the outside! It was busy in there, too.

IMG_0959

This is inside a Williams Sonoma store. They sold the bestest hot chocolate in the whole wide world!!!! It was, like, shaved chocolate instead of powdered or something…made on the stove…I don’t know, but the samples were amazing! 😛

IMG_0956

Haha yep pictures of the hot chocolate some more…

IMG_0961

And I’m not usually a fan of hot cocoa! I’d usually pass it up, but this one was especially tasty!

And that concludes the second full day at NYC. It was fantabulous! Tomorrow, I’ll post about the Statue of Liberty and the Rockettes (yay!!), to name a few.

Thanks for reading!

To more adventures!

Motivational Monday: Footprints

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening (depending on where you live 😀 ) and Happy Monday (or Sunday? or Tuesday?) 😛 For me, it’s Monday 🙂 That means it’s…

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY!

I haven’t done of these in a while! Wow! So, here is a Motivational Monday post for you to jump-start Week 3 of 2018!!

I own a very nice notebook that I use for the Worship Dance Organization I dance for (choreography, dates, etc.). Then, almost as if seeing it for the first time, I looked at the cover. I was overcome by the beauty of the quote that was printed on it.

IMG_4625

^^My “temporary” desk space. (my real desk is very very cluttered)

IMG_4628

^^ The cover

IMG_4627

^^ The other side of the cover

Here is the quote that was printed on the notebook:

One night, a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life, there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

“Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed You most You would leave me.”

The Lord replied, “Son, My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

– Unknown

This is a really touching quote that I love and as long as I live I will reflect and think back on it. 🙂

I see 2 take-homes from this quote:

  1. The Lord is always there by our side. Whether it’s through trials or through happiness, he is always there, and he’s carrying us through the hard times! Once we accept Him into our lives and open the door, He will never leave us. He is with you now, walking with you all the way.
  2. We have to know that we can not do anything on our own strength. We have to rely on the strength that He provides. The man first assumed that it was him that was carrying his own self through his lowest and saddest points, but the Lord teaches him that it is the Lord that gives us the strength to get through it.

I hope that this quote was inspirational/motivational and that you found comfort and maybe learned something in this post 🙂 ❤

Thanks for reading!

What other important things do you take out of this quote? Comment your answer down below ~ I would love to know! 😀

Till next time ~

Life Update + Famous Friday ~ Recollections vs. MAMBI!

Hi guys! Haaaappy Friday! Before I get on with the Famous Friday post, here’s just a little life update 🙂

Snow! Snow, snow, snow!! Yay!! Here in Virginia where I live it is not currently snowing but snow coats the ground! Yay! Yesterday was a snow day, school was cancelled (but I’m homeschool so not for me. eh), and school is cancelled today, too! Snow! Snow! Snow!

Anyway, before I explode with snowiness, let’s continue. 2018 is going great! I’ve been doing pretty good with my New Year’s Resolutions so far:

  1. My Bible reading is going great! Sometimes I read in the morning, and sometimes in the evening; it depends. I get out a notebook and a pencil and start reading about 4 chapters a day. I write down anything that sticks out to me, and reflect on that during the day 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to keep that up!
  2. Devotionals…hmm…I haven’t been able to do that every morning, but when I read the Bible in the morning, I guess that counts? I’m probably going to try to read around 2 chapters in the morning and 2 chapters in the evening.
  3. Time management…that’s not going so well hahaha 😛 I am being pretty productive, but I could always get better. (way better 😳 )
  4. My room could use some improvement. Let’s leave it at that hehe
  5. My desk…same as above 😳
  6. I have been using my planner a lot! Every day I write down a checklist and at the end of the day, or the next day, I check it off, which is very satisfying! I also like to decorate it with washi tape or stickers 😀
  7. I haven’t been able to create a blogging calendar, or post as much as I want to, but I have posts in my drafts box that I write as often as I can!

That’s how I’m doing with my resolutions, and hopefully I’ll improve and be able to keep them!

Now, onto the Famous Friday part! I haven’t done a Famous Friday post in so long, so I’m excited to be doing this again! Also, I’ve decided that instead of doing just books, or movies and other things like that, I can expand my choices! And I’m going to shake things up a bit and do a this vs. that post! So, today I’m doing…Recollections vs. MAMBI Planner!

Note: The pictures in this post are not taken by me, but from online. Picture Credit goes to Google 😀

Before I get started, here are some related posts:

Famous Friday Introduction and Famous Friday ~ Hero’s Guide and Life Update + Famous Friday

Okey dokey now onto the post!

I’ll start by reviewing the Recollections planner!

The Recollections planner that I own was a Secret Santa/Angel gift from one of my friends. I have the French Bulldog one!

dog planner

It’s so cute!! Here’s a peek inside-

10531866_4

10531866_5

In the upper left corner is the monthly view. Next to it is the weekly view. On the bottom left corner are the stickers the planner comes with, like the month stickers you put on the little tabs that stick out, to-do list stickers, and other decorative stickers! It’s great. Next to that little page is the Important Dates page. There’s also a Goals page – which I like a lot – an Important Contacts page, and also a Notes page. I wish I could show you my planner inside, but I would prefer to keep what’s inside my planner a secrect. 😐

Planner Pros:

  • It’s a really nice size – 5 x 7, and you can take it anywhere!
  • I like how you can put contacts, goals, dates, and notes inside your planner.
  • The weekly view is nice also because it has a considerable space for your notes for that week. Like, for the week of Jan. 1, I put in the little notes section my New Year’s Resolutions. Not sure if that makes sense…
  • The inserts that separate each month are very cute and flowery!
  • It’s also nice that they include stickers!

Planner Cons:

  • In the monthly view, you don’t get much space to write things down since the boxes for each day are so small.
  • In the weekly view, the boxes are also pretty small, so I only have enough space to put down a checklist for that day. (my handwriting is pretty big, though hahaha)
  • The stickers do lose their stickiness after a little while, but so far that’s only happened once to me!

Anyway, there’s a little Recollections Planner Famous Friday post! I really like having this planner, and I’d definitely repurchase!

Onto the…MAMBI Happy Planner!

These planners are very popular nowadays, and I can see why! They are very cute, original and easy to work with! One of my besties :D, Lindsay over at Linds4Dance, has one and is very very good at decorating them! So definitely go check out her planner posts!

I have the Faith Edition –

BOX-Happy Planner 365 Box Bottom 3T Header

This planner is really pretty and I enjoy using it a lot! Let’s get started!

I really like the cover. It says “grace upon grace,” which I like a lot. Oh, and SURPRISE! I didn’t know this until recently! You can take off the planner cover (I’ll get to that in a minute) and flip it over to switch the planner covers! Wow, right?!

Anyway. Ahem.

ggg

I really liked the inserts because that have a Bible Verse (or part of one) on each!

In case you didn’t know about this, each MAMBI Happy Planner has a unique feature! The special way they cut the paper allows you to be able to take each page out, but be able to put it back in without ripping anything or damaging your planner! All you have to do is be carefully, and cautiously take out the page. To put it back in, you lay the page on top of its place and push down the paper until it clicks in. Kinda sorta.

Anyway. The planner comes with pretty stickers as well! That makes me happy 😀 It also comes with black pen, a magnetic bookmark, and some mini post-it notes! Bonus! Yippee!

Here’s a peeky inside:

inside mambi

Here’s the monthly view ^^

iniside mambi 2

Weekly view ^^ The weekly view for the Faith Edition is vertical, but there are some that are horizontal. I haven’t tried to put

Planner Pros:

  • They come in several different sizes!
  • The fact that you can take the pages out easily and put them back in is really helpful! I’m left-handed and writing on the right page makes my handwriting mess up because the spiral binding bumps it up, so I take out the right page to do it – voila! it’s neat!
  • MAMBI always has really pretty planner covers, inserts, and sticker! And the stickers fit perfectly in the planner since they’re made for Happy Planners 🙂
  • I didn’t mention this earlier, but on the page right before the insert that goes before the month (phew I don’t think you understood that) there’s a little page with things like…Grateful For:, Prayer List:, Goals:, etc. and that’s really really nice. It’s cool to flip through each of those pages and see how you progressed!
  • Also, since you can take pages out and put them back in, you can add more pages – like Notes, or Fitness planning, etc.

Planner Cons:

  • Since the planner is bigger, you can’t carry it around with you, which is a bummer
  • The stickers fall off their sheet sometimes, but not often – maybe once or twice.
  • If you have a white planner cover, it can get dirty easily
  • On the monthly view, the weekend blocks are a different color than the weekday blocks, so it kind of already sets the color theme if you want to decorate your planner spread.

So those are the reviews of both my favorite planners! Here’s a list that has parts of the planners that both have in common, and which I like better –

Recollections vs. MAMBI:

  • The Monthly View – I think I’m going with Recollections on this one. They’re pretty similar, but like mentioned above, MAMBI colors it beforehand, and that’s basically the only thing
  • The Weekly View – MAMBI on this one 😀 It has three sections, and that gives you more space to write more and plan more!
  • The Size – MAMBI again 🙂 Mainly because it comes in all sorts of different sizes, while Recollections only comes in two. Other than that, the sizes are pretty much the same
  • The Design
    • Cover – Recollections 😀 The covers that Recollections offers are just super cute, while the MAMBI ones are kind of repetitive, if you get what I mean. Each Recollections cover has a new style
    • Rings – By rings I mean the Spiral Rings vs. the Special Rings (the ones that allow you to take the pages in and out of MAMBI planners) MAMBI’s rings are useful, but design-wise, Recollections spiral rings are simple and elegant.
    • Tabs – MAMBI tabs have prettier fonts on them and the stickers that allow you to place the labels on them stick on easier.
    • Inserts – The monthly inserts in the MAMBI planners are much prettier, in my opinion while the Recollections ones can be tacky sometimes – but they are cute!
    • Stickers – The stickers that come with the MAMBI planners are prettier, and there are more of them, but the ones with the Recollection planners are also cute!

Tada! That’s my overall review on both planners and all that fun planner stuff! Now it comes down to the decision you’ve all been waiting for…

Which planner is my personal favorite?

Aaaah!! Honestly, it’s so hard to choose 😀 They’re both so fun to work and plan with, and since I haven’t worked with either of them long enough to be an experto…hmm…

I’m going to go with…the…

Recollections Planner

I think because I like the layout more and the small size is really convenient. The cover is also adorable!!

My final say about both are –

The MAMBI planner is more pretty and elegant and naturey, with the practical fact that you can take the pages out and there are so many things you can add to it and lots of stickers you can use to decorate it. If you are an artistic person that likes being creative, the MAMBI planner is your thing! I would highly recommend this planner to anyone, though!

The Recollections, from my experience, is more of a cute planner. The covers are kind of like the quote images you would find online if you looked that up. You can’t decorate the weekly spread as much as you can the MAMBI one, so if you’re looking for a planner that’s more for planning and not decorating, then the Recollections planner is just for you!

I’m not a super artsy person, and I’d just like a practical but pretty planner that’s not particularly for making super decorative, so I like the Recollections Planner. I still use different colored pens and washi tapes for the monthly spread, but mainly I just write down what I need to get done that day, and stuff like that.

I hope you found that review helpful in any way, shape, or form!

Oh, and by the way, I know I posted a Famous Friday post on a Saturday (what?!!! Unheard of! How dare you!), but I was just about to finish up this post yesterday and publish it when I had to go! So yes, it’s a Famous Friday/Saturday post 🙂

Thank you guys for bearing with me through my post! If you’re new to my blog, thanks so much for reading and I hope you’ll give me a little follow!

Here’s a question for all you readers:

What’s a post idea that you’d like me to do? Now that the Christmas season is coming to an end, I’m running out of post ideas! Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Till next time ~

An Overview, Some Resolutions, and an Apology Walked into Lydia’s Blog

Happy New Year!! I can’t believe that 2016 2017 is over! It feels like yesterday I was celebrating the coming of 2017! 2018 is afoot and changes are just around the corner!

So, as you can guess, in this post I’ll have an Overview, some Resolutions, and an Apology.

Before I say anything else, let me get started with an apology 🙂

A week ago, I went to NYC and promised an AMTF – New York Pt. 1, 2, and 3, but only got around to Pt. 1! Christmas was so busy with gifts and family, and then I went to a youth retreat for about a week and in the midst of everything, I completely forgot about blogging! I haven’t responded to any of your comments, written any of the posts I planned on writing, commented on any of your posts, or read any! 😳 and I’m super sorry! I’ll get on that straightaway!

2017 in Overview

This year was my 6th/7th grade year. In the beginning, I had a great start! I don’t remember all my resolutions, but I’m pretty sure one of them was read the Bible in a year. Yeah…that did not happen. Not even close.

Although I started my classes off pretty strong, and stayed on top of my homework, as the year went on, I found myself slacking off and cramming all my homework into the night before it was due. Especially when it came around Thanksgiving/Winter Break time.

I did grow in my faith this year, though – and a lot! I went to several retreats and Christian conferences that revived my faith. Praise God!

I made a bunch of new buddies this year 😛 that have helped me in my faith and have just in general been great friends. Of course, I have my old besties that have encouraged and challenged me throughout this year. A big shout out to you guys!

This year was also the start of my blogging year! I began this blog, Dancer 4 the King in October and with high hopes of sharing my faith, getting to know other girls in the blogging community, and more! It’s been really fun blogging and I can’t wait for next year!

Oh, and a huge shout out to Lindsay, over at Linds4Dance, who introduced me to blogging, and was my first follower ever since the day I clicked the blog button! Also, she has just been an incredible friend – someone I can talk to whenever I need to, and someone I can be myself around. 🙂 😀 Love you! ❤

I also explored a little bit of the blogging community and found quite a few blogs that I love to read:

Linds4Dance

Dreaming of Guatemala

Joy Unspeakable

Maysa Rose

Here are some stats from this year!

Top Commenter – Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala

Thanks, Maggie! Your comments are always so thoughtful + fun to read!

Total # of Posts – 26

Total # of Followers – 34! Thank you guys so so much! I appreciate all your support! Blog on!

Total # of Views – 471

Thanks to everyone who has ever read any posts on my blog!

Now to move on to some New Year’s Resolutions. I usually don’t manage to keep them, but this year I have you guys to keep me accountable! ❤

  1. Read the Bible in a year
  2. Do Devotionals every morning
  3. Manage my time better
  4. Clean my room 😳 (and keep it clean)
  5. Clean my desk (and keep this clean also 😛 )
  6. Stick to my planner! (basically, just use it and don’t leave it lying around going to waste…)
  7. Create a blogging calendar and develop a regular posting schedule

So those are my 7 New Years Resolutions! I’m praying I’ll be able to keep them and that 2018 will be a well spent year!

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you a happy, fun-filled day!

Till next time ~

AMTF – New York Pt. 1!

Hey guys! Guess where I’m blogging from!!

NEW YORK CITY!!! For those who don’t know, I don’t live in New York, just an FYI 😛 😀

It is currently December 20nd. We arrived here this morning at 3:00AM. The car ride was 5 hours long, so…ahhh I’m trying to math this out…we left at 10:00PM. We were trying to leave at 6:00PM. My family procrastinates together. Then, when we finally got in the car, there were about a billion things we forgot inside the house, so it was unbuckling, opening doors, unlocking house, frantically zooming back and forth, and checking a million times if we locked the door, and buckling back into the car. <- That about twelve times.

Well, anyway, the car ride was around my bedtime, so I slept a lot, but I also read. I couldn’t read for very long because the Kindle was running out of battery (and I was getting sleepy), so I slept the rest of the way to Pennsylvania, where we made a stop to pick up my sister.

As we were driving, I tried to stay awake (it was around midnight then) and took out my phone and looked at some pictures. Then, I randomly found lots of pictures from when I was like three years old, and I had fun scrolling through some of them. Then, yet again, I crashed into sleep.

I woke up and voila! we were in NYC, at the door of our hotel. We loaded our stuff on the luggage cart, checked in, got our keys, and headed upstairs to the floor we stayed on. We came into our room and went to sleep.

I’m writing this beginning part in the morning at 10:00AM. I woke up at around 9:30AM, and everyone else is still zonked out. Especially my parents, who drove at 2:00 in the morning.

Anyway. that’s just the intro. Be prepared for a long(ish) post. That’s the intro to….

The Adventures of My Two Feet – New York City Pt. 1!

Yup! In case you’re new to my little internet corner, you can check out the intro to this series here. I’m staying in NYC till Saturday, so I’ll have a Pt. 1 (for today), a Pt. 2 (tomorrow, Thursday), and a Pt. 3 (for the last full day, Friday). I’m so excited to start the day and now, I’m saving this post and am ready to write it all tonight, when the day is done!

Hola! I’m actually finishing this post on the 21st, and publishing this on the 22nd.

Yesterday, we woke up pretty late and were still sleepy, and my siblings had some studying to do (ack. I can’t wait for high school. Yay. 🙄 ) Anyway, we left the hotel room at around…4:00. Yikes. It was fun to chill in the hotel, though. We usually never do and zip out of there as fast as possible to sightsee, so this was nice.

Well, without any further ado, New York City!

Chapter 1- Walking, walking, and more walking…

IMG_0796

Tall buildings…blue sky…lots of people…truly NYC…

IMG_0761

More tall buildings…busy road…

IMG_0773

Radio City!!! Rockettes Christmas Spectacular! See you tomorrow! (Friday in case you were wondering…this time thing is confusing…even for me 😛 )

IMG_0765

The city buildings are so amazing! The sky has a pinkish hue…it’s almost evening…

IMG_0805

hehe…I love this! So cute!! Poor snowman, I still have no idea why he’s so sad looking…

Chapter 2 – Christmas Tree!

IMG_0781

Behind Radio City was a giant Christmas Tree!! It was so pretty with all the lights 🙂

IMG_0793

The Christmas Tree peeking in again, and in the distance (I couldn’t capture it too well on camera because of the huuuuuge crowd) is a light castle – lack of better words – that changed colors, it was pretty cool 😀

Chapter 3 – World Trade Center Observatory

This was the highlight of the day!! So beautiful and amazing!

IMG_0818

The World Trade Center is the tallest building on the Western Hemisphere! Standing outside the entrance, you couldn’t see the top!

IMG_0825

The hallway leading to the observatory was cool in itself!

IMG_0854

You have to see it to really bask in the glory! I was looking down on New York, looking down on the Empire State Building (which I failed to capture on camera, sorry!)…my stomach did cartwheels as I saw how high up I was! (102nd story! wow!)

IMG_0852

I see the streets of NYC, the cars like bugs…

IMG_0849

I tried my best to catch it on camera, but it turned out very grainy…In case you can’t tell, it’s the Statue of Liberty! The glowing thing in a sea of black? See it? It felt weird to see it from above, but very amazing!!

Chapter 4 – The Oculus

The Oculus

I didn’t take this picture 😛 I found it online on Google Images because I didn’t get an opportunity to take any, but yep! I was in there! Pretty cool building! Reminds me of a dinosaur!

IMG_0868

Just the hallway 🙂 It’s very white and elegant! I like the feel of a white building…it’s calming almost.

IMG_0878

The garlands on the hallway railing were very pretty! They had silver balls on them, and went nicely with the white theme.

IMG_0884

Aha! The Oculus Holiday Market! We didn’t shop there, but it was really fun to see what they had!

IMG_0874

A door. Yay! Doors! I love doors! They’re very useful 🙂 Okay, I’ll stop being weird 😛 I just thought it was a cool door haha :DDD

That was the end of the first day! A busyish day filled with beautiful sightseeing! I can’t wait for the rest of the vacation, and Christmas, and New Years…There’s a lot of things to be excited for this upcoming winter!

What are you guys up to this winter?

If you’ve been, what are some must-go places for you in New York City?

To more adventures!

Christmas Gift Ideas for…Sisters!

Hola! Today is my second addition to the Christmas Gift Ideas mini “series.” This time it’s for sisters!

Let’s jump right in!!! And keep in mind that these are in no particular order!

  • Jewelry – Find a piece that she’ll wear often, or, often enough if you buy her a fancy one 🙂 Or get her one that has words on it, so even if she doesn’t wear it very often, it’ll still have a lot of meaning to her.
  • Journal and Pens – here’s another one from the Christmas Gift Ideas for Mom! Journals are a perfect gift, then pair them with a pack of pretty, maybe multicolored pens and you’re good to go!
  • Room/Home Decor – If you have an artsy sister that likes to decorate their room, consider getting (or even better, making) some room decoration for them!
  • Hair Supplies – Scrunchies, headbands, hair ties, hair brush, hair clips…
  • Nail Care – Get her a kit! A file, some polish, a clipper, a base and top coat – the whole mani set!
  • Art Supplies – If your sister loves art, art, and all things art, then get her some art supplies!! Maybe colored pencils, a coloring book, markers, an easel, paint, the list goes on and on!
  • Your Very Own Merchandise! – Make her something! Decorated a mug, a phone case, a canvas – Sisters love that stuff! Oh, and my amazing friend Ally over at Dreamers and Dancers has a wholeeeee list full of super duper good ideas! Check it out here
  • Throw Blanket – My sister is in love with throw blankets haha We got 4 during Black Friday sales 😛 😛 😛 I get one, she gets three….just kidding. A throw blanket is a perfect gift with cold weather! Pair it with some slippers of fuzzy socks and cha-ching! Ta-da! #matchmadeinheaven
  • Clothes – What girl doesn’t like getting new clothes?? Although, she may want to choose the clothes herself. That might ruin the surprise aspect, but you’ll get her what she really wants! (Maybe add sunglasses? a hat? a scarf?)
  • Make-Up – ColourPop, Elf, Maybelline – you don’t have to get the expensive stuff! Drugstore makeup is just as good! Again though, she may want to choose it herself.
  • Water Bottle – You can get her a tumbler, or an insulated water bottle – really anything! Support hydration lol 😀
  • Purse – A small sidebag will do, or a tote. It might be more on the pricier side depending on the company, but older teenage girls love getting purses!
  • Food – Candy, chocolate (is chocolate considered candy?), day out at a restaurant, cheese, anything, anything, anything, your sister likes! Food is a friend 🙂 😛
  • Books – If your sister isn’t a big reader, get her a puzzle book, or a book of inspirational quotes! I love getting books for Christmas! If you’re the older sibling, give your sister a book that you really enjoyed and recommend for her! Chances are, if you liked it, she will!

So there are 14 ideas (for the 14 days left till Christmas 😀 ) for gifts for your sister! Hope that you found these helpful! Hit the like button if you did 🙂 I’ll be hoping to come out with a Christmas Gift Ideas for Dad one, soon – before Christmas gets too close!

Till next time!
