Happy New Year!! I can’t believe that 2016 2017 is over! It feels like yesterday I was celebrating the coming of 2017! 2018 is afoot and changes are just around the corner!
So, as you can guess, in this post I’ll have an Overview, some Resolutions, and an Apology.
Before I say anything else, let me get started with an apology π
A week ago, I went to NYC and promised an AMTF – New York Pt. 1, 2, and 3, but only got around to Pt. 1! Christmas was so busy with gifts and family, and then I went to a youth retreat for about a week and in the midst ofΒ everything, I completely forgot about blogging! I haven’t responded to any of your comments, written any of the posts I planned on writing, commented on any of your posts, or read any! π³ and I’m super sorry! I’ll get on that straightaway!
2017 in Overview
This year was my 6th/7th grade year. In the beginning, I had a great start! I don’t remember all my resolutions, but I’m pretty sure one of them was read the Bible in a year. Yeah…that didΒ notΒ happen. Not even close.
Although I started my classes off pretty strong, and stayed on top of my homework, as the year went on, I found myself slacking off and cramming all my homework into the night before it was due. Especially when it came around Thanksgiving/Winter Break time.
I did grow in my faith this year, though – and a lot! I went to several retreats and Christian conferences that revived my faith. Praise God!
I made a bunch of new buddies this year π that have helped me in my faith and have just in general been great friends. Of course, I have my old besties that have encouraged and challenged me throughout this year. A big shout out to you guys!
This year was also the start of my blogging year! I began this blog, Dancer 4 the King in October and with high hopes of sharing my faith, getting to know other girls in the blogging community, and more! It’s been really fun blogging and I can’t wait for next year!
Oh, and a huge shout out to Lindsay, over at Linds4Dance, who introduced me to blogging, and was my first follower ever since the day I clicked the blog button! Also, she has just been an incredible friend – someone I can talk to whenever I need to, and someone I can be myself around. π π Love you! β€
I also explored a little bit of the blogging community and found quite a few blogs that I love to read:
Here are some stats from this year!

Thanks to everyone who has ever read any posts on my blog!
Now to move on to some New Year’s Resolutions. I usually don’t manage to keep them, but this year I have you guys to keep me accountable! β€
- Read the Bible in a year
- Do Devotionals every morning
- Manage my time better
- Clean my room π³ (and keep it clean)
- Clean my desk (and keep this clean also π )
- Stick to my planner! (basically, just use it and don’t leave it lying around going to waste…)
- Create a blogging calendar and develop a regular posting schedule
So those are my 7 New Years Resolutions! I’m praying I’ll be able to keep them and that 2018 will be a well spent year!
Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you a happy, fun-filled day!
Till next time ~

Aww that’s so cool that I’m your top commenter, Lydia, haha!! β€ I love commenting on your blog π Yours is one of my favorites that I began reading in 2017, as well! I also can't believe 2017 is over, time has been flying by for a long time. lol
I saw on a post of yours that you're open to post ideas, and I'd like to request a desk tour of your desk, hehe! I love seeing others writing/work spaces, especially when they have it decorated how they like it. Also you mentioned wanting to clean yours, and the end result would make for a lovely post! π π I hope you're doing well, Lydia!! God bless β€
