Good morning, or afternoon, or evening (depending on where you live 😀 ) and Happy Monday (or Sunday? or Tuesday?) 😛 For me, it’s Monday 🙂 That means it’s…
MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY!
I haven’t done these in a while 😀 So, here is a Motivational Monday post for you to jump-start Week 3 of 2018!!
I own a very nice notebook that I use for the Worship Dance Organization I dance for (choreography, dates, etc.). Then, almost as if seeing it for the first time, I looked at the cover.

Here is the quote that was printed on the notebook:
One night, a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life, there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed You most You would leave me.”
The Lord replied, “Son, My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

This is a really touching quote that I will reflect on for a while.
I see 2 take-homes from this quote:
- The Lord is always there by our side. Whether it’s through trials or through happiness, he is always there, and he’s carrying us through the hard times! Once we accept Him into our lives and open the door, He will never leave us. He is with you now, walking with you all the way.
- We have to know that we can not do anything on our own strength. We have to rely on the strength that He provides. The man first assumed that it was him that was carrying his own self through his lowest and saddest points, but the Lord teaches him that it is the Lord that gives us the strength to get through it.
I hope that this quote was inspirational/motivational and that you found comfort and maybe learned something in this post 🙂 ❤
Thanks for reading!

I first read this inspiring poem when I was younger, and while I loved it, it means even more to be reading it again now! ❤ I've been going through a lot emotionally recently, and having the knowledge that the Lord carries me through my hardest seasons in life is a huge reassurance to me. Thank you for sharing this! It was a blessing to read again:)
