~ Answer the 10 fall-related questions ~

~ Tag at least 5 other bloggers to join in the fun! ~

2. What is fall weather like where you live? I am soooooo blessed to live where the temperature is super great! In my opinion, weather here in Virginia is the autumniest it can get 😀 It’s around 50 –  65 degrees – perfect! It’s still transitioning from summer to fall, but the best autumny weather is yet to come!

3. Your favorite drink to have in the fall? I love a good Korean tea 🙂 Burdock tea, raisin tea, barley tea, corn husk tea, the list could go on and on!

4. Does your family have any fall traditions? If so, what are they? Hmm….not really, but we do LOVE Thanksgiving! Yum – turkey! ham! stuffing! Now this is making me hungry…

5. What are some activities and events you enjoy going to in the fall months? Where I live, there’s a fun place called Cox Farms – an autumny (hey, this word is coming in handy), farmy place with deeelicious apple cider, farm animals, pumpkins…I love it there!

6. What’s your favorite fall-scented candle? Hmm…I don’t have candles, but I love to go to the candle section of the stores and just smell them – and get weird looks from everyone else. Oh well, each to her own way 😛 My favorite? They’re all good! I especially love going to the candle aisle in the summer, when I can’t wait any longer for autumn!

7. Tell us about one of your favorite fall memories. I don’t have a very good memory when it comes to these things, but here’s a random one I really enjoyed – In my lyrical dance class last year, we did a super fun and “mysterious” routine that was really halloweeny (hey, it’s New Words Day!). I don’t remember the song we did it to 😐 but I remember laughing over it and feeling really cool while I was doing it (though I probably didn’t look too cool 😛 )

8. What are some fall movies you enjoy watching? Charlie Brown Christmas (in preparation for the holiday season)! I love a good Charlie Brown movie, any day! Hopefully I’ll actually watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving soon, it’s on my To-Do List!

9. What’s your favorite fall treat? Some people might say pie, but I like…hmm…persimmons, Korean sweet potatoes, Korean pumpkin porridge, pomegranates…I’m getting hungry again…

10. If you celebrate Halloween, what is the best costume you’ve worn? That’s a toughie…I don’t really remember what costumes I’ve worn, but I really likes my halloween costume from last year (?). I went as a 50s (or 60s?) girl, in an old jazz performance costume! I loved it because it was comfortable, I didn’t have to spend any extra money on it, and it just looked so pretty!

I nominate…

Lindsay4Dance, Busy Bee, Dreamers and Dancers, HappilyAbi, Clara and Co.

I also nominate…YOU! Comment down below if you want to be a part of the game of Fall Tag so I can check yours out, too!

DIY Pumpkin Garland!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and, for all you Virginia people, are ready for a SCHOOL-FREE MONDAY!

Okay. Well, I’m homeschooled (fun fact if you didn’t know!), but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy for all you schoolers. 😀 😛

Anyway, I spent this afternoon making a super fun craft. I’m not artsy, I have no artistic flair, but this craft was fun + easy (bonus!). Hopefully, you’ll enjoy it as much as I did and be able to spruce up your house with some Autumn Awesome!

Enjoy! ~

I love to fold paper. My folding isn’t super neat, but I love to make origami things – frogs, birds, pinwheels, PUMPKINS. Today, you’re going to learn how to make DIY PUMPKIN GARLANDS!

For the pumpkin tutorial, go here! It’s a great pumpkin tutorial! Easy to follow with lots of pictures to help you as you go along. Sweet! Thank you! Make lots and lots of pumpkins (different colors if you want) for your garland!

The tutorial says you can fold an orange stem from the pumpkin, but I personally like it better to get some green paper, cut a stem out, and tape it on. Also, I am not that much of a talented folder/origami-artist and couldn’t figure out how to do that orange stem thing 😳

Your pumpkin should look something like this:

Once you’ve made your pumpkins, get out some yarn (whatever color you want), scissors, and tape.

Now it’s time to put your garland together!

Take your pumpkins and cut a fair-sized amount of yarn off. The length of your yarn will depend on your preference. Once you have the yarn, take your first pumpkin and tape the yarn to the back of the pumpkin so it won’t block interfere with the pumpkin’s beauty 😛 Remember to tape it a good length away from the end of the yarn so you have space to hang up your garland! Continue to tape your pumpkins across the yarn. Also, strive to have an equal amount of space between your pumpkins.

In the end, your pumpkin garland should look a little like this – hopefully better and a little longer –

I hung it on my dresser for picture purposes, but soon it’s going to go somewhere where everyone can see! I wrapped the end of the yarn around the knob, but there’s actually a good amount of yarn remaining on the ends, and it’s smart to keep it there, for hanging-up purposes.

So here we have it – An Origami Pumpkin Garland!

Oh, and keep in mind that if you don’t have origami paper, then you can just take a piece of regular sized orange paper (or any color paper you want your pumpkins to be! maybe blue!) and follow these instructions.

Super simple, super fun! Hope you enjoyed this pumpkin garland and get to try it out! I almost never have autumn decor up in my room or house, so I’m so, so, so glad I found this! Thanks again to and for the instructions.

Thanks for sharing in my Autumn Awesome and reading this post!

And as promised, the question to hopefully start some discussion from my followers/viewers! ~

What is your favorite fall tradition?
