Hallloooooo! It’s December!! Hoooooraaaaah! Just a couple more weeks and V A C A T I O N By the way, did you guys notice that I changed my blog theme for Christmas??? Since it’s the beginning of the month, and a fresh new start, I’ve decided to just give you a life update –

Books!! You can see my Holiday Reading List Post here to check out my progress 😀 This is going to be like a mini Famous Friday post inside of another post because I am reviewing a couple books that I read.

  • Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

This book was soooooo good! I loved it! You did not expect the ending. The whole time I thought I was super smart and I was like, “It’s this person!” but then at the end you’re completely mindblown because the person who did it was – whoops. Sorry, no spoilers. 😀

  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. The plot was interesting and fun to read (I won’t give away any spoilers, don’t worry). The only thing was, since it was in playscript form, it didn’t really feel like a real book. It also didn’t have the same feel to it as the regular Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. But those aside, it was a fun read!

Those are the only two books out of my Holiday Reading List that I’ve been able to check off, but during Winter Vacation I’m definitely setting aside A LOT of time to read!!

School ~ It’s been hard to get back into the swing of school again. I still feel like I’m on break and it’s super bad 😥 Especially since I’m homeschool! 😡 So angry at myself…..

Christmas Songs! Okay, sorry, I know this isn’t exactly a life update, but hello? it’s Christmas music?

I’m a B I G fan of the classic Christmas music. Like…Winter Wonderland, The Christmas Song, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas…This is making me so excited for Christmas now 🙂 🙂 🙂

  2. Happy December, Lydia! I love your Christmas-y theme; it looks awesome 🙂 I’m so happy you enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express! The ending really is mind-blowing. I don’t think one reader/viewer ever saw it coming! I love all the Christmas songs you mentioned – the music this time of year is amazing! And to answer your questions:

    1) I love ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside,’ ‘Once Upon A Christmas’ by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, ‘Born Tonight’ by Jamie Grace, and so many more!

    2) Driving around with my family in December and admiring all the Christmas lights and decorations people decorate their houses with is a fun tradition of ours. I also love having Christmas breakfast with everyone!

    3) I’m posting my Christmas music playlist sometime this upcoming week! You could do the same, and you could also share a Christmas DIY you make, favorite stories of yours from past Christmases, maybe a holiday dessert recipe … just email me if you’d like some more ideas, or if you want to collaborate on a post with me! ❤

    • Thank you! I’ll have to check out those songs, soon 🙂 I haven’t been able to find too many new Christmas songs yet 😦 That sounds like sooooo much fun! Family time is the best time ❤ ❤ ❤ Those are great ideas, maybe I'll do some of those soon! Yeessss 🙂
